Edy Transport Ltd ("we", "us", "our", "the Company") is a registered courier and transport company operating in the United Kingdom and across Europe. We provide dedicated van transport, same-day delivery, European freight, and specialist handling services.

By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or booking any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

If you are booking on behalf of a business or organisation, you warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance.

3. Bookings & Quotations

All quotes provided through our website are estimates only, unless confirmed in writing by us.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed on this website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Standard Van Pricing

Our standard pricing is a flat rate of £250 + VAT for all journeys up to and including 100 miles. For journeys exceeding 100 miles, a per-mile charge applies beyond the 100-mile threshold as follows:

Payment Terms

For European and custom deliveries, pricing is provided as a bespoke quote and may include ferry/tunnel costs, driver accommodation, customs fees, and fuel surcharges.

Packaging

All goods must be properly, securely, and adequately packaged and labelled by the customer prior to collection. We reserve the right to refuse to carry goods that we consider to be insufficiently packaged or likely to cause damage to our vehicles or other goods.

Prohibited Items

We do not transport any of the following:

Carriage of any prohibited items will result in immediate termination of the booking with no refund, and we reserve the right to report the matter to the relevant authorities.

Declaration of Goods

You must accurately declare the nature, weight, and value of goods at the time of booking. Undeclared or misdeclared goods may void any insurance coverage and result in additional charges.

7. Insurance & Liability

Goods in Transit Insurance

We hold Goods in Transit insurance covering goods up to £50,000 for UK deliveries. Coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of our insurance policy.

CMR Insurance

All European and international shipments are covered by CMR (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road) insurance. CMR liability is calculated in accordance with the CMR Convention limits.

Limitations of Liability

Claims

Any claim for loss, damage, or short delivery must be reported to us in writing within 7 days of the delivery date. Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted. We will investigate all claims promptly and in good faith.
